Hi, I’m Tim Nicol, the creative force behind Tim Nicol Photography, proudly based in Darwin, Northern Territory. I’ve called the Territory home for over 30 years, and it’s shaped everything about how I see the world, wild, vibrant, and full of stories waiting to be told. 

Before I picked up a camera, I honed my creative eye as a furniture maker and luthier, crafting pieces with precision, patience, and passion. That same attention to detail now drives my photography capturing the adrenaline of motorsports, the energy of live events, and the raw beauty of the Top End. 

But the real turning point? The birth of my son. Becoming a family man inspired me to start this business to freeze moments in time, to tell stories that matter, and to build something lasting for the people I love and the community I care about. 

Photography isn’t just my profession it’s personal. It’s about connection, legacy, and celebrating the Territory I proudly call home.
